16th Busan International Film Festival in Full Swing

The 16th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is in full swing on its second day.

The festival kicked off Friday and will showcase three-hundred-eight films from about 70 countries at five major movie theaters in Haeundae in Busan, including the newly opened Busan Cinema Center.

Leading actors and actresses of the film “Always," which opened the festival, held a meeting with fans at an outdoor stage in Haeundae.

Judges for the New Currents competition section held a news conference earlier in the day and unveiled evaluation standards, saying they will focus on directors’ individuality this year.
