Digital textbooks will be legally recognized in the nation’s schools from next year.

The Education Ministry announced on Wednesday an action plan on implementing "smart education" in schools. Under the plan, digital books for elementary and middle schools will be introduced by 2014 and for high schools by 2015.

Laws will also be revised regarding what material can be in concluded in the digital books.

Online classes will also be provided through various channels for students who can't attend school for a given period for inevitable reasons.
