16th Busan International Film Festival to Close Friday

The 16th Busan International Film Festival will wrap up in Seoul Friday to end its nine-day run.

At this year’s festival, the films Mourning, by Iranian Morteza Farshbaf, and Nino, by Loy Arcenas, won the New Current’s award.

The Flash Forward award, which is given to non-Asian directors, was awarded to Italian Guido Lombardi’s “LA-BAS. A Criminal Education.”

The closing ceremony of the festival will be held from half-past-six in the evening. Emcees will be director Jang Jin and actress Ryu Hyeon-gyeong. From eight in the evening, the closing piece, Chronicle of My Mother, directed by Japanese Harada Masato, will be screened
