North Korea’s Committee for Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland has denounced South Korea’s Internet broadcast services targeted for North Korea as “antiunification slander broadcasts.”

The Unification Ministry launched online media services Uni TV and Uni Radio this month. Uni TV broadcasts interviews with prominent figures and airs popular songs two hours per week while Uni Radio airs one-hour programs every day.

The North’s committee said the Unification Ministry will fail in its efforts to distort the North’s image. The committee also claimed the “slander broadcasts” would obstruct efforts for unification, urging the Unification Ministry to halt the broadcasts.
