UM Approves Christian Org to Visit N.Korea

The Unification Ministry has approved a delegation representing the National Council of Churches in Korea to visit North Korea.

Following the approval, eleven officials from the council will visit Pyongyang from Wednesday to Saturday, where they will hold a joint prayer service with the North Korean Chosun Christian League

The ministry said the visit was allowed as this prayer meeting had been agreed upon by an official named Kim Yeong-ju of the South’s Korean Conference on Religion and Peace and the Chosun Christian League in September, and as the prayer meeting is for purely religious exchange.
