Korea Beats Panama 8-0 in Intercontinental Baseball Cup.

South Korea has defeated Panama eight to zero in the Intercontinental Baseball Cup. Koo In-kwang blasted a grand slam and drove in five runs Tuesday to carry his team to the final. With the semifinal win, South Korea is assured of at least a silver medal. South Korea will play in the final Wednesday against the winner of the game between Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Panama will face the loser for the bronze medal. Right-handed pitcher Kim Ki-pyo dominated the Panamanians with hard and fast throws. He permitted only two hits in the first three innings. Relief pitcher Choi Byung-yong took over in the ninth.
