The Association of Supporters for Defecting North Korean Residents plans to hold a recruitment fair Friday to help defectors from the North find jobs. The job fair ... the first such event ... is organized jointly with Korea Recruit. Organizers are expecting the event to bring together officials from 30 local small- and mid-sized firms and about two-hundred North Korean defectors seeking jobs in the South. An official at the association said he hopes that more local firms will be prepared to recruit talent from North Korean defectors. The number of North Koreans who defected to South Korea so far this year has reached nine hundred-20. Officials expect it to top one-thousand-100 by the end of the year.
