The Salvation Army charity pot fundraiser for the needy started on Thursday with a launch ceremony at Seoul City Hall plaza.

The organization will collect donations at some 300 locations nationwide and nine expressway tollgates.

The Salvation Army set this year’s target amount at four-and-a-half billion won, up from four-point-two billion won of last year.

Last year, the fund was delivered to one-and-a-half million people including homeless and low-income people.
