US Experts Visit to North Korea Ends

Kyodo News reported on Saturday that U.S. experts on nuclear issues and the Korean Peninsula have completed their five-day trip to North Korea, but have not visited Yongbyon, where North Korea’s key nuclear facilities are located.

The U.S. experts were in North Korea from November 29th on the invitation of North Korea’s Foreign Ministry. Diplomatic sources remain open to the likelihood of North Korea using the experts to send a message to the U.S.

th Korea said through a spokesman on November 30th, while the U.S. experts were visiting the North, that light-water reactors and low-grade enriched uranium production are proceeding at a fast pace. The North hinted that it would refuse to answer the global community's demand to dismantle its nuclear program, including uranium enrichment program.
