The Unification Ministry said Tuesday that South and North Korea have finalized the exact location and the height of the connection linking the Donghae Railway and the land route in Kosung county, Kangwon Province after teams from the two Koreas conducted a joint survey in their respective area Tuesday. As a result, the additional survey originally scheduled on 27th became useless and nullified. The ministry officials said the joint survey started at 11 a.m. and the two sides finalized the location and height of the connection point linking the railway and land route without crossing over the Military Demarcation Line in the Demilitarized Zone. The two sides agreed to notify each other of the results of the survey by exchanging the documents by early December. Meanwhile, the joint survey for the Kyungeui Railway and the land route is expected to be held on 29th and 30th.
