Kim Jong-un Pays Respects to His Father

North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) says Kim Jong-un, the third son and heir apparent of late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, has visited the Gumsusan Memorial Palace where his father's body lies in state, and paid his respects.

The agency reported that a mourning ceremony was held on Tuesday in Pyongyang where Jong-un expressed his deepest condolences over the death of his father along with party, government and military officials.

North Korea’s state-run Korean Central Television (KCTV) on Tuesday afternoon also disclosed footage of the body of late North Korean leader Kim Jong-il lying in state in a glass coffin on top a flower-bedecked bier.
