North Korean media have expressed anticipation on the continuation of bilateral talks with the U.S. as many media outlets are reporting on overtures by the U.S. government concerning bilateral dialogue and food aid to the North.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency cited a report by Voice of America which says the U.S. State Department hopes to continue talks with Pyongyang.

It is very unusual for North Korea to quote a report from a broadcaster funded by the U.S. government.
