Salvation Army Collects Record Donations

South Korea’s Salvation Army has collected a record amount of donations through its year-end charity drive on the street this year.

The Salvation Army Korea Territory said it brought in nearly four-point-five billion won through this year’s red kettle donation drive that ended on December 24th. It gathered four-point-two billion won last year.

The Salvation Army is expecting this year’s donations to exceed its goal of four-point-five billion won, as donations collected in Seoul on December 23rd and the 24th have yet to be counted.

The charitable organization will continue to receive donations through the end of January next year, although its street drive has ended.
