NK Newspaper Covers Condolence Visit by S.Korean Delegation

The official newspaper of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party has reported the condolence visit paid by a South Korean delegation over the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.

The Rodong Sinmun gave a detailed front-page report of the visit by former South Korean First Lady Lee Hee-ho and Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun on Tuesday.

The North Korean daily said condolatory flowers were laid under the name of Lee and Hyun at the memorial altar for the late North Korean leader with his third son and successor Kim Jong-un and other funeral committee members present.

The daily added that the South Korean condolence delegation paid respects to the late North Korean leader and observed his body lying in state. They also delivered deep condolences to Kim Jong-un who expressed in return his appreciation of their visit to Pyongyang.
