NK Propaganda Web site Denounces Pres. Lee's New Year's Message

North Korea’s propaganda Web site "uriminzokkiri.com" has denounced President Lee Myung-bak’s New Year’s message in an editorial.

The Web site was the first North Korean media organization to criticize Lee’s New Year’s message for 2012. The editorial did not mention the South Korean president’s name but instead referred to Lee as the leader of South Korea.

The editorial said the South Korean leader’s New Year’s message issued Sunday clearly showed there is nothing more to be expected of the South’s conservative ruling party, and as long as it is in power, inter-Korean relations and the destiny of all Korean people are in danger.

It noted that South Korea’s opposition parties denounced the part about inter-Korean ties in the New Year’s message and included statements issued by the United Democratic Party and the New Progressive Party.
