South Korea Steps up Bid for 2010 World Expo

South Korea is stepping up its bid to host the 2010 World Expo.
The chairman of the World Expo bidding committee, Chung Mong-koo, is in Budapest, lobbying with Hungarian Prime Minister and other top officials.
Chung will travel to Western European countries to drum up support to bring the expo to Korea.
The Bureau of International Exposition will meet in Monaco next Tuesday to select the venue.
Yosu plans to host the World Expo for six months starting in May, 2010.
