Eight South Korean Representatives Visit Gaeseong Industrial Complex

Eight Representatives of the National Assembly’s Inter-Korean Relations Special Committee and Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee visited the Gaeseong Industrial Complex on Friday.

The eight lawmakers, led by Representative Kim Choong-hwan of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee, entered the industrial complex after crossing the Military Demarcation Line.

Kim said a visit by South Korean representatives to the industrial complex is historic, and he hopes this will serve as an opportunity for progress in dialogue between the two Koreas.

The team will visit the complex's management committee for a briefing on the situation there and to inspect its facilities. The group of representatives will later visit the Hyundai-Asan office.
