Mines along DMZ would be cleared away

The mine-sweeping work along the Demilitarized Zone designed to link the Kyung-ui and Donghae Railways is likely to be completed by the 10th of December. An army officer in charge of disarmament at the defense ministry said the mine-clearance for both South and North Korea along the Donghae Railway was already finished this Tuesday. He said the mines in the northern part of the Kyung-ui Railway are to be completed by Friday while those on the southern section will be finished by December 10th.
