One meter of heavy snow has fallen in Gangwon region, forcing local authorities to close several mountain roads. Even though snow is continuously being removed, Mishiryeong, which connects Gosung and Inje, has been closed for the past four days. Only vehicles with snow chains are allowed to pass through most mountain roads including Daekwanryeong, Hangeryeong and Jinburyeong.
