N.Koreans Fire Rifles at Lee's Image

North Korea's propaganda attack on South Korea is intensifying by the day.

The North's Korean Central Television showed footage Thursday of citizens firing pistols at a paper target depicting the image of South Korean President Lee Myung-bak. The event was part of defense drills conducted by members of a women's organization under the Workers' Party and athletes of a sports team.

During interviews, they spoke angrily using vulgar language to denounce the South Korean president.

North Korea has taken issue with a South Korean military unit in Incheon for putting up a hostile slogan on the photos of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and his late father Kim Jong-il.

Since the slogan was sighted last month, the North has escalated its slanderous rhetoric against Seoul.
