S. Korean Military Official Dismisses Report on NK Rocket Fueling

A high-ranking South Korean military official says a Tokyo Shimbun report that North Korea has begun fueling a rocket to launch its Kwangmyongsong-3 satellite is not credible.

The military official said it is still too early for Pyongyang to launch a rocket, based on North Korea’s vows that it will launch the satellite between April 12th and 16th.

The official projected that the North would start fueling the rocket roughly three to seven days ahead of the planned launch.

The Tokyo Shimbun reported earlier that the launch will take place on April 12th or 13th.
