20 Flights Rerouted Ahead of NK Rocket Launch

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) says South Korean, Japanese and Philippine airlines will temporarily reroute flight plans over the Philippines this week ahead. The move comes on the back of North Korea's scheduled launch of a long-range rocket.

The CAAP said on Tuesday that about 20 flights from Philippine Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Korean Airlines and other airlines will be rerouted between Thursday and Monday, which is when the North says it will be launching a satellite.

The CAAP said it will temporarily close three northeastern air corridors, which will result in an additional 20 minutes of travel time for the airlines.
