Korean Air Jet Cleared to Fly after Bomb Threat

Korean Air officials say the airline's Boeing 777 that made an emergency landing near Vancouver on Tuesday due to a bomb threat has been cleared to continue its flight.

The officials said Canadian federal police finished inspecting the plane around 4 a.m. Thursday, Korea time. They explained in order for the plane to get back on track, refueling efforts are the most imperative. Officials said if it's impossible to refuel from the military base where the plane made an emergency landing, then it will have to fly back to Vancouver further delay its arrival in South Korea.

The officials said Thursday that the Boeing 777-200 with 149 passengers aboard landed safely at Canadian Forces Base Comox on Tuesday and was inspected for more than ten hours with no explosives to be found on Wednesday.
