U.S. to Prevent Further N.Korean Provocations

U.S. special representative for East Asian affairs said Washington would work alongside allies to prevent further provocations from North Korea following a rocket launch that failed last week.

Kurt Campbell, who is currently on a tour of four Asian countries including South Korea and Japan, told reporters before leaving Washington D.C. that he thought highly of the international community's response after the North's long-range missile launch.

Campbell will arrive in Japan on Sunday for a two-day visit and speak with Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Genba before meeting with South Korean government officials.
