100 Plus Tornadoes Strike US Midwest, 5 Dead

Five people are dead and more than 29 injured after more than 100 tornadoes swept across the United States Midwest and Plains states over the weekend.

One-hundred-22 tornadoes tore through four states including Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa. Among the dead are a father and his two-year-old son who were killed in a mobile home park.

Thousands of buildings were destroyed and parts of an airport runway have been damaged as well.

The U.S. National Weather Service says tornadoes are occurring at a faster rate this year, and 60 people have been killed so far.
