N. Korea Claims to Have Space Development Plan

North Korea says it has a comprehensive space development plan, hinting that it will continue to launch rockets.

The state-run Korean Committee of Space Technology said Thursday that the United States tried to take away the North’s right to explore outer space through the lure of food aid. The statement said the U.S.’s attempt was a foolish delusion.

Regarding the reason for its failed rocket launch last Friday, the committee said a substantial and scientific explanation was reached.

It continued that launching satellites is North Korea’s sovereign right, adding the North has never recognized UN Security Council resolutions, which it said are the creation of hostile forces.
