Nation Marks 31st Teachers' Day

The Education Ministry and the Korean Federation of Teachers' Associations have held a ceremony to mark the 31st annual National Teachers' Day in downtown Seoul.

About 68-hundred teachers on Tuesday received state awards for their devotion and commitment to education.

The federation vowed to launch a campaign to revive schools and realize a true education that builds good character and personality.

The ministry said that it held the ceremony at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts as the 31st Teachers’ Day fell on the 615th anniversary of the birth of King Sejong.
