The KBS electronic ballot counting system has been turned out to be the most reliable source for calculating and predicting in advance the final winner in the presidential race on Thursday. The KBS ballot counting system was reported to have predicted most precisely the voter turnouts for each of the candidates cast. According to the interim tally, KBS has maintained an edge over other broadcasting companies by predicting the points within the margin of only 2.3 percent between the two major contenders -- Roh Moo-hyun of the Millenium Democratic Party and Lee Hoi-chang of the Grand National Party. KBS conducted an exit poll survey for 40,000 voters in 200 different polling stations nationwide on the election day.
