A U.S. citizen has been extradited to South Korea under a 1999 criminal extradition treaty between the two countries. The U.S. Embassy said that Kenzi Noris Elizabeth Sinder arrived in Seoul Friday to face charges in a Korean court. She is accused of murdering an American student, Jamie Lynn Penich, in Seoul in March, 2001. Sinder ... the first American citizen to be extradited under the treaty ... is currently being questioned at Yongsan Police Station. Sinder will remain in the custody of Korean authorities until the completion of judicial procedures. The investigation into this case and the arrest and extradition of Sinder was the result of extensive cooperation and coordination between the U.S. and Korean law enforcement agencies.
