"The Thieves" Continues to Set New Records

Advance ticket sales for recently released South Korean film “The Thieves,” have topped the box office for this coming weekend.

The Korea Film Council announced on Thursday that Choi Dong-hoon's latest film dominated box office pre-sales at 41-point-eight percent.

The movie attracted over four-point-36 million people in just eight days after its release, setting a new record in the film industry.

Advance ticket sales of “The Dark Knight Rises,” which topped the box office last weekend, came in second this weekend with 31-point-four percent of overall ticket sales. “Sammy’s Adventures 2” came in third followed by “Ice Age 4."
