Radio Free Asia says that as of Monday, 109 North Koreans have died or are still missing from Typhoon Bolaven.

The U.S.-based broadcaster quoted an International Federation of Red Cross report that 59 people were killed and 50 others went missing as the storm blew through North Korea.

It added that around 52-thousand hectares of farmland were inundated or washed away, and seven-thousand-900 homes were damaged or submerged. South Hamgyeong Province, which was on the right side of the typhoon, is said to have been affected the most.
