South Korean singer PSY, who took the world by storm with his megahit “Gangnam Style,” has returned home from the United States.

PSY said Tuesday that he is happy, adding that he believes he achieved much more success than he had expected before he left for the U.S. earlier this month.

PSY left for the U.S. on September fifth and appeared on the 2012 MTV Music Video Awards and various local TV programs.

"Gangnam Style” climbed its way to the number one spot on the U.S. iTunes Music Video Chart on August 21st and ranks eleventh on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The hit tune also placed third on the British music charts.

The music video of “Gangnam Style” has attracted more than 260 million views on YouTube as of Monday since its debut on July 15th.
