'Yellow Sea Border Violations Highlight Threat of N. Korean Provocation'

Chairman Jung Seung-jo of the Joint Chiefs of Staff says the frequent invasion of South Korean waters by North Korean fishing boats illustrates that the constant threat of provocation from Pyongyang remains.

Jung said during a ceremony to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Seoul must stay prepared to make sure its response system works perfectly to respond to provocations.

After the ceremony, Jung visited the seventh division and second corps of the army to offer encouragement to soldiers.
