2010 Winter Games Bidding Committee Sends Delegate to Lausanne(O)

Secretary General Choi Seung-hoh of the Bidding Committee for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games departed Seoul on Thursday for Lausanne, Switzerland, to present a master plan to host the games to the International Olympic Committee. The master plan explains the characteristics of Pyeonchang, the proposed venue for the Winter Olympics. An IOC inspection team led by Norwegian IOC member Gerhard Heiberg will visit Pyeongchang from Feb. 14 to the 17th, on the first leg of a series of inspection tours to candidate cities which include Canada's Vancouver and Austria's Salzburg.
