KBS1TV to Begin 24/7 Broadcasting from Monday

KBS will begin around-the-clock broadcasts from Monday under lifted restrictions on television air time for terrestrial broadcasters.

KBS 1TV will air a new ten-minute news section at 5 a.m. on weekdays, and a special edition of the KBS program "Hometown Report" will go on from 5:10 to 6 a.m.

Also from 1:30 a.m., KBS will run great documentaries to distinguish it from other late night commercial broadcasters.

Other new slots on 1TV include "KBS Network" which introduces nationwide provincial cultures and a sports program in which unforgettable matches in Korean sports history will be rebroadcast.

KBS 2TV will also gradually increase its broadcast lineup with a daily living information program scheduled at 1 a.m. on weekends.
