North Korea has threatened that even the U.S. mainland is within striking range of its missiles.

North Korean media report that a spokesman for the National Defense Commission made the statement on Tuesday, just two days after South Korea and the U.S. announced a decision to expand the range of South Korea's ballistic missiles from 300 to 800 kilometers.

The spokesman said that the North Korean military does not hide the fact that U.S. forces stationed in South Korea, Japan, Guam, and even the U.S. mainland are within striking range.

The spokesman also vowed that North Korea is fully ready to attack in response to the missiles of the U.S., South Korea and all of their followers.
