The 49th General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) has entered its sixth day in Seoul.

ABU President Kim In-kyu, Secretary-General Javad Mottaghi and other ABU leaders on Monday held a news conference at 2 p.m. at the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS).

In the news conference, the ABU officials introduced the organization and explained its achievements and future plans.

Meanwhile, some 400 participating officials from broadcasters in the Asia-Pacific region visited Gyeongbok Palace and a folk village.

The ABU General Assembly will hold an opening ceremony on Tuesday before starting its two-day plenary session.
