S. Korea Confirms N. Korea’s Air Raid Alert as Drill

North Korea has issued an air raid alert and ordered its military to take immediate actions.
The North’s state-run media carried the alert at around 9:30 am on Thursday.
South Korean military authorities confirmed the alert is part of North Korea’s military drill.
A high-ranking official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff said the drill may be in response to the U.S.’ B-52 bomber flights on the Korean Peninsula.
He added it is similar to civil defense air raid drills conducted by South Korea.
