Gov't to Spend 11Bln Won on Traditional Culture City Projects

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to spend eleven-point-three billion won this year on projects to preserve and promote the culture and history of the cities of Jeonju, Gongju and Buyeo.

Gyeongju in Sough Gyeongsang Province, which has completed a project to create a traditional Korean village in Gyochon, will seek seven additional projects this year.

The government will also implement projects to preserve the traditions, culture and history of Jeonju and Buyeo in Chungcheong Province.

The government has worked on the culture city projects of the three cities since 2006 at a cost of more than 76-point-seven billion won.
