2012 Seoul Lantern Festival to Kick off on Friday

The 2012 Seoul Lantern Festival will open on Friday along the Cheonggye Stream, in which 35-thousand lanterns will be lit.

The festival will run until November 18th along a one-point-five kilometer section between Mojeon Bridge and Seun Bridge. Lanterns will be lit from five to eleven p.m.

The 2012 festival will be held under the theme “Seoul’s root and the lifestyle of our ancestors,” where lanterns from Singapore, Japan and the Phillippines and eleven regional municipal offices will be showcased as well.
