Director Kim Ji-woon Wins Award From US Filmmakers Alliance

South Korean filmmaker Kim Ji-woon has been named the recipient of an award from the U.S. Filmmakers Alliance.

Kim, who is working on his Hollywood debut film “Last Stand”, is this year’s winner for the “Vision Award” at the annual VisionFest celebrations. The event will be hosted by the organization on November 30th in Los Angeles.

The award’s past recipients include Wim Wenders and Werner Herzog. Kim is not only the first Korean director to win the Vision Award, he is also the first Asian director to be presented with this recognition.
