The number of people who went to see Korean movies last month surpassed ten million for the fourth consecutive month.

The Korean Film Council said Monday that roughly ten-point-two million people went to see Korean films in October.

The four-month strong trend of ten million plus people is a first, and records show that since 2007, the ten million-mark was only breached once or twice annually.

The film council said if the trend continues the total number of people who went to see Korean movies this year will reach 100 million.
