The 2012 Korea Advertising Congress will open in Seoul on Wednesday.

At the event organized by the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations, 12 prominent figures in the advertising sector, including Cheil Worldwide President and CEO Kim Nack-hoi, and two advertising companies will receive government rewards.

The event, which is the 26th of its kind to be held, will also give out prizes to 46 advertisements.

The head of the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations, Lee Soon-dong, said that this year’s event will see the launch of a group of people in the advertising industry who will donate their talents to society. Lee said he hopes such donated talent will contribute to promoting public interest.
