South Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin gave a solid performance in his debut with the Los Angeles Dogders, despite recording his first loss on the mound in the U.S. major leagues.

The former Korea Baseball Organization standout went 6 and 1/3 innings against the San Francisco Giants on the road, before the Dodgers eventually fell 3-0.

In 80 pitches, Ryu gave up three runs, 10 hits, struck out five, and walked none.

The left-hander signed a 36 million-dollar, six-year deal with the Dodgers in December.
