A lack of raw materials has forced three South Korean textile companies in the Gaeseong Industrial Complex to halt operations following North Korea’s ban on South Korean worker’s entry.

Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Hyung-suk confirmed the halted operations at a news briefing Friday. He explained that remaining companies will be forced to halt operations as well if no cargo and food are allowed in the industrial park.

Ministry officials urged North Korea to lift its entry ban so no more companies in the complex are affected.
