The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and the Northeast Asian History Foundation have signed an agreement to counter neighboring countries' attempts to distort Korean history.

Under the cooperation agreement, the two organizations will share research data and seek joint research projects on historical assets located in foreign countries.

The institute said on Friday that the agreement has laid a foundation for establishing systematic and consistent measures to counter neighbors’ attempts to distort history.
