The Asia Pacific Peace Foundation said Friday it has decided to donate its properties and materials to Yonsei University, ending its nine-year mission to help President Kim Dae-jung get elected and manage state affairs effectively. President Chang Haeng-hoon of the foundation said that they have agreed to transfer the properties and materials of our foundation to Yonsei University. The foundation was established by President Kim in 1994 when he withdrew his pledge to retire from politics. The pledge was made soon after he lost to former President Kim Young-sam in the 1992 presidential election. President Kim last September instructed foundation officials to take measures to donate the foundation to Yonsei University.
