'Gaeseong Will Cease to Exist if Park Continues Confrontation'

North Korea has warned that if the Park Geun-hye government continues to be confrontational, the Gaeseong Industrial Complex will cease to exist.

The North’s Bureau for Central Guidance to the Development of the Special Zone said on Thursday that South Korea is blaming the North for Pyongyang's measure on the complex.

A spokesman for the bureau said that the circumstances show that the party that should halt its wrong behavior and instead make the right choice is not that of North Korea, but rather, the head of the South’s presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae.

The spokesman also warned that the North’s latest measure on the complex is tentative and that the course of the industrial park’s future totally depends on the South Korean authorities’ attitude.

It is the first time for a North Korean organization to mention the South Korean president by name since the South’s presidential election in December last year.
