South Korea’s Defense Ministry warned that North Korea’s missile launch will be a provocation against the Korean Peninsula and the global community.

Defense Ministry spokesman Kim Min-seok said during a press briefing on Friday that it was inappropriate for North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland to threaten to turn South Korea into a “sea of fire.”

Kim added that while South Korea hopes Pyongyang will not launch a missile, the South Korean military is fully prepared against all possible situations in case of a missile launch.
