North Korea Says Propaganda Leaflets Will Lead to Horrible Consequences

North Korea’s propaganda website has threatened “horrible consequences” if propaganda leaflets are sent to that country.

The website "Uriminzokkiri" said in a statement that "sending leaflets is an unacceptable provocation that hurts North Korea's system and dignity."

The statement comes after two South Korean civic groups announced a plan to hold a press conference and send propaganda leaflets to North Korea on April 15, the birthday of North Korean founder Kim Il-sung.

On Saturday morning, the police stopped five members of the Fighters for Free North Korea who were trying to fly leaflets to North Korea near the border.

Currently, the police are sticking to the policy of banning propaganda leaflets to North Korea in consideration for the present situation on the peninsula.
